THE GOLDEN VILLAGES
A Land-Based Dementia Facility
The Golden Villages is a proposed rural, land-based dementia care community located in Mount Pleasant, Ontario.
Rooted in agriculture, environmental stewardship, and dignity-centered care, the project is exploring a new model of aging that reconnects people living with dementia to nature, meaningful daily activity, and community.
Situated on a working farm in Brant County, the vision combines specialized dementia care, therapeutic outdoor environments, food production, wellness programming, and intergenerational community spaces within a campus designed to preserve and strengthen the rural landscape.

While still in the planning and consultation phase, The Golden Villages has already attracted the attention, guidance, and support of leaders across healthcare, academia, architecture, Indigenous economic development, agriculture, and government.
